great location and comfortable stay

convenient location short walk fresh breakfast

the location proved very convenient. it was a short walk to the train station. breakfast was freshly prepared. i particularly enjoyed the quietness of the garden.

Wonderful Stay!

warm welcome room upgrade generous time

Karron was so cute. She really went out of her way to ensure my comfort, and I needed for nothing. I appreciate the nice welcome and the offer to upgrade my room upon arrival. The check out time at 11 o'clock was also very welcome.

The room decor felt quite dated. A bright floral pattern repeated on the walls, curtains and duvet cover. It is an old house with wooden floorboards, so noise carried easily.

My room included a comfortable bed and a sash window that opened for ventilation. The wall mounted TV was very practical and easy to use. The room also provided a kettle, cups, tea, and coffee.

Facilities

Breakfast was served in the back of the house, in a sun room extension. This room overlooks the garden with the residential wooden chalets. The tables were set for breakfast and included condiments jams and butter.

The owner was very friendly and helpful with all my questions. The breakfast service was prompt and efficient, I found the staff to be very polite. I also appreciate the kindness about the check out time when my ride was delayed.

adequate stay with issues

sound insulation cigarette smell

the room lacked adequate sound insulation. i heard a washing machine operating early in the morning. also, i noticed a distinct smell of stale cigarette smoke downstairs. it wasn't in my room but it was not nice.
